Kimi Antonelli extended his championship lead to 59 points at the Dutch Grand Prix, second place coming after Mercedes ordered George Russell to invert the cars under a late Virtual Safety Car. Trackside engineering director Andrew Shovlin said the swap saved Russell race time, because two Mercedes fighting each other would have let the Ferraris close on both. Toto Wolff called the decision "completely normal" and said the team would have done the same in the other direction. Max Verstappen scored no points, having crashed out on the opening lap of his home race. πΈπ° via the Mercedes post race media session #F1 #KimiAntonelli #GeorgeRussell #Mercedes #TotoWolff
